Data Deletion Policy

Your right to delete your data

You have the right to request deletion of all personal data associated with your Heist account at any time. This includes your profile information, Brand Brain data, generated content, connected platform tokens, and any other data stored in our systems.

How to request deletion

You can delete your data using any of the following methods:

• Self-service: Log in to your Heist account, go to Settings, and use the "Delete Account" option. This permanently removes all your data within 24 hours.
• Email request: Send an email to support@heistbrain.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request" and include the email address associated with your account. We will process your request within 30 days.
• Facebook/Instagram: If you connected your Facebook or Instagram account to Heist, you can also request data deletion through Facebook's settings. We will receive and process the deletion callback automatically.

What gets deleted

When you request data deletion, we permanently remove the following from our systems:

• Your account information (name, email, password hash)
• Brand Brain profile data (voice, audience, mission, keywords)
• All generated content, drafts, and blog posts
• Campaign data and scheduling history
• Vault documents and extracted text
• Chat history and Brain conversations
• Connected platform tokens and integration data
• Audience personas and memory facts
• Analytics and performance data

What we retain

After deletion, we may retain the following for legal and operational purposes:

• Transaction records required by tax and financial regulations (billing history only, no personal content)
• Anonymized, aggregated analytics that cannot be linked back to your account
• Server logs for up to 90 days for security and abuse prevention

Confirmation

After your data deletion request is processed, you will receive a confirmation email (if requested via email) or a confirmation code (if requested via the Facebook/Instagram callback). Once deleted, your data cannot be recovered.

Facebook & Instagram data deletion callback

If you connected your Facebook or Instagram account to Heist, Meta may send us a data deletion request on your behalf. When we receive this callback, we automatically delete all data associated with your Facebook/Instagram user ID from our systems and return a confirmation code and status URL to Meta.
